The Dangers...

Apparently one of the dangers of having a dog and a toddler is toy confusion! On Saturday as Nolan was perfecting his amy-crawl skills (he thinks he is crawling) he disappeared around the corner of the couch. When I found him he was happily chewing on Rocky's bone. It was cute (nasty but cute), so I had to snap a picture. On Sunday we were outside doing some yard work. I was sitting on the driveway with Nolan when Rocky came proudly trotting towards me. I could tell that something was in his mouth- but it wasn't until he got right up to me that I could see that it was Nolan's passi. Apparently it had fallen out of the car at some point and he wanted to make sure that we didn't lose it! Thank the Lord I had my camera outside with us!! These are the moments that are priceless!! :)

I promise that this is how I found Rocky. No re-enactment's were needed!

Sky Top

Today we went to Sky Top Orchard in the mountains of North Carolina. It's such a fun family- oriented place with hay rides, carmel apples, and a plethora of photo opportunities. The weather was perfect. Rocky was the star of the show- all the little kids wanted to pet him, and he LOVED it!! Nolan was a trooper and flirted with anyone who would make eye contact with him. I am excited to make this a annual trip- Jerel is excited about the apple cobbler.

Spontaneous Road-trip

Tuesday morning as I was heading to bible study my friend Sandi called to ask what my plans were for the day. There were no plans- so she decided that she was going to pack up her two kids and drive up from Atlanta to spend a few hours with us. It was such a fun surprise. We have both had babies since the last time we had seen each other and there was a lot to catch up on. For 30 blissful minutes all three kids were asleep at the same time and we were able to have uninterrupted grown-up conversation! I love having people (primarily Sandi) in my life who are spontaneous/crazy enough to make a spur of the minute decision to take her little ones on a road trip! Thanks so much for coming, we loved having you!!

There was some great flirting going on but I was unable to catch it!

Problem Solved

Our sock issue has been solved.  Yesterday I headed over to Target and bought the knock off Robeez for half the price. When I have looked before they never carried any that I liked. Thankfully there was one pair of cute brown giraffe's in his size. Now if I could just solve the the teething issue/overly stuffy and runny nose!! Good times.

Oh, and he is 8 months today. Happy birthday to him!!

The Death of Me

Some of you know that I have sock issues. My biggest pet peeve in the world is when someone walks around in their socks and they start to flop off the end of their foot. I have seen people with a baby on their hip with socks dangling off and I think "Ugh, HOW can they handle it??". Well, I am there everyday. There is always at least one sock about to fall off of Nolan's foot. Poor kid, I am pulling at them all day. Has anyone out there found socks that don't slip off?? I need help!! :)

Lil' Punkin

Fall is here and I am ready!! I love fall. I love the colors, the smells, the clothes, and the festivities. This weekend we picked up our pumpkins from a church down the street. I consider myself decorated now! Now I can't wait to get up to the apple orchard! Those are going to be GREAT pictures!! :)
