Meet kitty. He showed up on our doorstep Tuesday night as I was lamenting to Jerel that I really want a dog- but apparently God does not want us to have a dog. We have had a few failed attempts. So as I am conceding to my husband, I look up and there is this sad kitten meowing at my back door. I asked it if it needed a home, and now we have a cat!
He's very sweet. The boys love him.
I told him he could stay if he's willing to live outside, help control our chipmunk population...
and is able to survive Elliott's chubby hands. Wish him luck :)
I sent out a email to my neighborhood to make sure that no one has lost a kitten- but I am pretty sure he has been abandoned. He's really skinny and limps a little. Hopefully he will be a good addition to our yard! :)

Happy Daddy's Day!
To the man who has logged countless hours reading everything from "Peek a boo" books (which he hates- by the way) to the Bible. Our boys are so blessed to have such a patient and loving Daddy, and I am blessed to have him as my husband! Happy Fathers Day!

Poor Guy!
This little guy is usually nonstop, full of life and joy. However, this is what he has been looking like for the past three days. Monday afternoon he woke up from his nap with a 103.7 fever and medicine really helps but he just can't shake it. He is so pathetic. I am also a little pathetic because we can go nowhere.
On a lighter note my mom was here last week and I asked her to make curtains for my kitchen. I am so happy with how they turned out. It just needed some softness of fabric.
I have to say I am less than excited with our current weather. Yesterday I ran to Publix for about 10 minutes and when I got back in the car it was 107 degrees. Yesterday was still MAY! I have to get the boys out really early. After about 30 minutes Nolan was begging me to go back inside. There is a chance it might be a long summer! :)
