This morning for Father's Day, Nolan thought that he would celebrate early and woke up at 5:30. I refuse to begin our day any time before 6 am so he fussed off and on until 6:30. During that hour Jerel was the one who tended to the little bundle of joy. He then made me breakfast and around 7:15 I finally realized that it was Father's Day and I should have been the one making breakfast. Oops! Nolan is fast asleep at this point so I go to take a shower. Mean time he wakes up but is poopy...and unfortunately in this house "finders, keepers". Jerel was the finder, changed him and feeds him. We head off to church and Nolan had his first nursery experience. Everyone survived but he only slept 10 minutes of his usual 90 minute nap (this never bodes well later in the day). Came home and Jerel fed Nolan again because I was getting ready for his parents to come over for lunch. Jerel put little man to bed and then had grill duty. The hamburgers were perfection! After his parents left, he sent me to go visit some friends who just had a baby and he manned one grumpy baby by himself! I got home just in time for his bath and not a minute too soon. I think they had worn each other out! I bet this wasn't the Father's Day that Jerel had always dreamed of but he took each moment in stride and served Nolan, myself, and his parents faithfully with joy. Nolan is so blessed to have this man as his daddy! I am beyond blessed to have him as my husband! Happy Father's Day babe. I love you!
